Decorex is delighted to announce that London design studio, 1508 London, has been chosen to create this year’s prestigious Champagne Bar. Examining the roots of design, this year’s show theme, to create a dialogue for the space, expect a design that reinterpretes classical architectural principles for a modern audience.
Louise Wicksteed, Creative Director at 1508, says: ‘The Champagne Bar is always a popular space at Decorex, and we are delighted to be designing this year’s installation. Inspired by the roots of classical architecture, our space explores a deconstructed version of classicism. The simple geometric shapes, sculptural details and paired back palette will create an elegant but playful installation. We can’t wait to share our vision with the visitors and exhibitors at this year’s show.’
1508 London established in 2010, the London based design studio already has a number of award-winning, high-profile commercial and residential developments in its portfolio, including a Victorian postal office contemporised with Corten steel and concrete; and a Grade II listed Georgian property that seamlessly combines classical and contemporary architectural details.
