Portuguese design house Boco do Lobo constantly pushes the boundaries on perceptions of everyday objects and furniture. Designer Marco Costa adds some fun, and a little fear, into their latest conception; the three-legged Emporium chair.
At first glance, the chair looks deceptively normal; even simple. In reality, however, the chair is more complex and sophisticated than meets the eye, courtesy of the intricate seat detail and the erudite metallic finish, and of course standing on three legs.

Inspired by the Surrealist movement, Costa created a piece that he believed would “explore the fragility of humanity by revealing the beauty in imperfection.”
The chair would be a fun and quirky touch to your living room, but it isn’t all play. The chair is fully functional, and for those worried of falling off the three-legged masterpiece, the Emporium also comes in a complete version with four legs.

Available in gold, silver or copper, the chair is an exciting piece, and would definitely add a sense of thrill and excitement to the menial task of sitting at your desk everyday!
